The APTA Code of Ethics for the Physical Therapist and APTA Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant are seminal documents that guide actions and behaviors of PTs and PTAs. Major revisions to these documents have been drafted and are being proposed in a motion being brought to the 2025 House of Delegates by APTA's Board of Directors.
