As APTA reported in October, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association settled a class action antitrust lawsuit resulting in a record payout of $2.8 billion, as well as commitments to operational changes. On Dec. 4, 2024, preliminary approval of the settlement was granted, and the final approval hearing is scheduled for July 29.

If you provided health services to Blue Plan patients anytime from July 24, 2008, to October 4, 2024, you may be eligible to submit a claim for your share of the settlement.

The official settlement platform for claims submission is now available.

Here are important dates to keep in mind:

March 4: The last date providers can opt out or object to the settlement, if they are inclined.

July 29: The last date providers can submit a claim. This also is the date

The settlement platform provides other important information, including an FAQ on the settlement and documents such as the class notice and settlement agreement.
