Explore lesser-known APTA advocacy with President Roger Herr.

One of the four pillars of APTA's strategic plan is the goal of ensuring that the physical therapy profession is sustainable in the long-term, which includes increasing payment, reducing the cost of education, and strengthening provider health and well-being, among other targets. APTA's advocacy work is key to accomplishing this goal, and must focus on multiple areas, not just one or two high-profile pieces of legislation or regulatory rules.

This podcast on advocacy, hosted by APTA President Roger Herr, PT, MPA, explores examples of how APTA is working toward the sustainability of the profession in areas that don't always grab the headlines of communications to members, yet are important to ensuring the profession's continued health.
